Trust:
ISTJs trust their own experience and memory and so trust those that they’ve shared good times and hard time with. They trust those that have been there with them and feel close to and comfortable with those that they’ve known a long time. ISTJs are distrustful of new people that try to come in an change things too quickly without respect for tradition and their way of doing things.
Respect:
ISTJs respect people who are logical and don’t let emotions get in the way of efficiency and truth. Investment:
When an ISTJ decides they want to be with someone, they invest in that person by opening up to new possibilities. ISTJs love their security and have a difficult time venturing into the unknown. However, if they love someone, they will show their love by taking risks and trusting that the future will work out with them. As a result, if a breakup happens, it will feel to the ISTJ as if their world has been thrown into chaos.
